Job Title: Data Entry Office Clerk
Location: Gabriel Building Supply – Ponchatoula, LA
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) + Every Other Saturday
Job Summary:
Gabriel Building Supply is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Office Clerk to join our team in Ponchatoula, LA. This position is responsible for accurately entering and updating data in our systems, supporting office operations, and ensuring smooth workflow across departments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with computers and office equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and update customer, vendor, and inventory data into internal systems
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
Assist with processing purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts
Answer phones and direct calls or take messages as needed
Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, and scanning
Communicate with team members to ensure accuracy of records
Provide administrative support to office staff and management
Help with other office tasks as needed to support daily operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous office or data entry experience preferred
Strong typing skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and courteous communication skills
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, full-time (40 hours/week)
Every other Saturday required
