Responsibilities:

As our bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for Gabriel Building Supply. Your responsibilities will include:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable. Ensure timely payments to vendors and accurate billing for customers.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements.
• Payroll Processing: Process payroll for employees, including calculating hours, deductions, and taxes.
• Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Inventory Control: Assist in tracking inventory levels and reconciling inventory records.
• Assist with Audits: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy and precision are essential in bookkeeping.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Team Player: Collaborate with other departments and work well in a team environment.
